'Ayurvedic Hand & Foot Massage'

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS COURSE IS ALSO AVAILABLE AS DISTANCE-LEARNING

Charaka, a classical Ayurvedic writer, defines disease and health thus, 'A disharmony among the constituents which support the body is known as disease; their harmony is called health, the state of normality. A sense of well-being is characteristic of the absence of disease, for disease is always associated with discomfort'.

How you walk, talk, look and think all reveal something about your constitution. Ayurveda uses the language of everyday experience so that understanding the little quirks, aches, pains and odd sensations can guide one in the direction of balance.

On this Course you will be taught three stages of hand and foot massage:

SOFTENING - quickly warms, calms and expands the skin, capillaries and soft tissues of the hands and feet.

NOURISHING - specific marma points and strokes are used along with specific herbalised masks, oils and creams to nourish and revitalise the tissues.

TONIFYING - gently stimulating sequence using lotions and astringents to refresh.
