I was somewhat overwhelmed when I first read through the booklet. However, with additional research the assignments were achievable and very interesting".
"The information in the accompanying workbook was in depth and well presented. Used in conjunction with the recommended books for the course, there is plenty of information about the history, philosophy and practical application of Ayurvedic therapies. The essential oil section at the end is useful for those wanting to incorporate ayurvedic principles into their massage routines. Responses to my e-mail enquiries have always been quick - usually the same day. I have consistently been given informative feedback and I have always felt confident that I have either learnt something well or I have been guided exactly to the areas that need some more study".
"I was unsure about distance learning as I am usually a hands-on, 'face-to-face' learning person but I found this way of learning is great for a busy person as you can choose how much to learn at any one time and fit it in around your schedule. The course itself challenges the western approach to health, is thought-provoking and has relevance to your own personal lifestyle as well as any therapies you may practise. I loved it!"

I did not ask for additional help but contact at the beginning and end of the course has been swift and very helpful"."I thought the course was very well structured, very thorough. "I can already see that the massage techniques will be a valuable and practical addition to my skills when I do my work as a volunteer complementary therapist at a local hospice".
"I used some of the techniques at the hospice a week ago and yesterday with a patient with a sore shoulder - that, along with the warming oils (black pepper, sweet marjoram and frankincense) made a real and positive difference. His posture was improved and he smiled. This was a delight as this chronic ache in his shoulder was causing him more distress than the cancer and its symptoms. He said that as a result he was going to go with his wife to a local shopping centre on Saturday - the first time in months".
"Although I had some knowledge of Ayurveda this gave me greater insight into this philosophical approach to health and illness. It took me a while to 'get my head round' the doshas and the concepts of prakriti and vikruti but worth the effort - it gives a broader and deeper appreciation of another belief system other than the western orthodox approach."
