This is one of our 'Guest' Courses, written and presented by Anne Parry.
Would you like to be able to offer your clients a relaxing facial in addition to, or as an alternative to, a massage?
When Anne began working in Complementary Medicine, she found it hard to find a facial massage course that would give her what she wanted, so she went to a beauty school to learn how to give a "Continental Facial" and followed this up with her own research to be able to present this course to you. The result is a fascinating course that can either be taken as a 'stand-alone' course or be followed by the Advanced Course.
This course is for Massage Therapists, Aromatherapists or Beauty Therapists but Anne will consider other applications on a case by case basis.
FAC1: JAPANESE FACE MASSAGE- Tsuboki - Hours 9.30-5.30
The Japanese believe that beauty is more than skin deep and that, in order to be beautiful, one must also be healthy.
This face-massage, for those qualified in Beauty Therapy and/or Massage/Aromatherapy, works on both aspects simultaneously:
* working superficially, we can improve skin-tone and lymph-flow.
* working at the deeper muscular level, we can affect muscle-tone and general appearance
* working with the facial meridians, we can affect the balance of health in the whole body - as well as the specific flow of Ki in the face.
Many of the techniques can help to prevent lines, wrinkles and puffiness - a natural facelift!
This fascinating 1-day course is mainly practical, but will also address basic theories, e.g:
* What is a meridian?
* What is a tsubo?
* Theory of Japanese face-massage
* Three stages: Anma, Acupressure, Lymphatic Drainage
* Meridians running through the face - direction of flow and point location
Please note that this course is a:
