HERBW: 'Women Through Their Ages'

This 1-day course is one of our 'Guest' courses, written and presented by local herbalist, Jennifer Boys.

Jennifer is a qualified herbalist, specialising in Chinese Energetics and Food Therapy. She is also a Reiki master-teacher. Jenny runs busy practices in 'Neal's Yard Remedies' in Guildford, in 'Petworth Integrated Medical Practice' in Petworth and as the resident herbalist for the charity 'New Approaches to Cancer', based in Claygate. She is an Adult Education tutor and, in the last year, has lectured both at the Bristol Cancer help centre and at UWE, also in Bristol.

This workshop offers a day to explore and discuss the various different health-issues that arise for women as they journey through life. From teenage acne and the onset of puberty, through infertility and parenting to menopause and beyond! We will discuss the expectations and demands that society places on women today, compared with those of our mothers and grandmothers

The aim of the day is to find workable solutions and coping skills for the health-problems that many women face on a daily basis. We will discuss dietary requirements, if and when supplementation is appropriate, techniques for coping with stress, relevant exercise regimes, herbal remedies and over-the-counter solutions.

N.B. The typical age-band of the group will determine the emphasis on the day, so we would be grateful if you could indicate your age-group on the application form.
