As an alternative to our 2-day Ayurvedic Indian Head Massage Course we are also offering a long 1-day Guest Course, without the Ayurvedic element, written and presented by Anne Parry.
On this one day course, you will learn Anne's style of Indian Head Massage, developed with the background of 30 years of massage experience. The massage will be done fully clothed, with no oil used.
Indian Head-Massage is a very old art that has been practised for many years in market squares and on street corners in India.
Stimulation of the scalp's circulation helps tone the muscles, relieves eye-strain and headaches, improves concentration and boosts the immune-system. It also eliminates muscular tension and restores joint-movement by stretching and mobilising the tissues of the neck and shoulder.
No prior experience is required.
Topics addressed during the course include:
* History of Indian Head Massage
* Benefits of Indian Head Massage
* Bones of the Skull
* Key Acupressure points on the Head and Face
* The Upper Chakras
Studies normally commence at 9.30 a.m. and finish at 5.30 p.m.
