This 1-day Course is designed for Massage Therapists or Aromatherapists who wish to be able to massage pregnant women with confidence.

Massage Therapists will be issued with a Certificate of Qualification in 'Pregnancy Massage' and Aromatherapists will be issued with a Certificate of Qualification in 'Pregnancy Aromatherapeutic Massage'.

The course was formulated at the request of our ex-students who wished to support their clients throughout pregnancy, which, they did not previously feel confident enough to tackle.

For qualified Massage Therapists or Aromatherapists

As time is limited on the Course for Aromatherapy discussions on using essential oils during pregnancy we offer any Aromatherapist who has attended the course to e-mail us asking any questions that may have arisen once studying the essential oil material provided. We are also available on an ongoing basis to give advice and guidance on this topic.

This day is a practical day where you will learn about:

* Relaxing massage positions & specific massage techniques, including Shiatsu points & hand and foot reflexes, during pregnancy

* Stages of Pregnancy

* Carriers & Flower Remedies

* Legal Advice

* Safety Precautions

* Benefits of Massage During Pregnancy

* Symphysis Pubis

* Placenta Previa

* Urticaria

* Common Problems during Pregnancy

* Hormones during Pregnancy

* Respiratory & Digestive Tract during Pregnancy

* Heart & Blood flow during Pregnancy

Studies normally commence at 10.00 a.m. and finish 4.00 - 4.30 p.m.

Please note that this course is a:

Post-graduate qualification course, during which the student is assessed for competence. Subject to you already holding an appropriate therapy qualification, the assessment being satisfactory and the approval of your Governing Body and Insurance Company, it can be added to your list of qualifications.

Many Associations accept our courses for CPD including the IFPA (6 Category A Points), CThA Post-graduate Qualification (10 credits) & FHT (10 CPPD points).

Students must successfully complete 3 practice sessions and submit case histories within 12 weeks of the course - before being issued with a Certificate of Qualification.
