This is one of our 'Guest' Courses, written and presented by Anne Parry.
Touch for Health is the foundation for all Kinesiology systems. It makes use of muscle testing, asking the body to show us where imbalances are and what correction it needs - thus it is tapping into the body's innate wisdom.
It is based partly on Traditional Chinese Medicine and meridian theory and is a safe and non- invasive way to optimise your health, or that of family and friends.
It works on all levels at once - physical, biochemical, mental and emotional, and needs no special equipment or clothing.
John Thie, the founder, believed that optimal health is the birthright of evey human being and so wanted the system to be accessible to all.
In Touch For Health Level 1, you will learn how to do a 14 muscle balance, how to correct imbalances using neuro-lymphatic, neuro-vascular, and spinal reflexes, how to reduce pain and how to release emotional stress. Several techniques can be used on yourself in everyday life.
Touch For Health Synthesis was developed in the 1960s through the meeting, in the 1960's, of Dr. John Thie, a young chiropractor, with Dr. George Goodheart, a chiropractor and applied kinesiologist. Dr. Goodheart had made the connection between certain muscles of the body and the Chinese energy pathways known as meridians. He was developing a system of healthcare for chiropractors and other health professionals, which married the energy work of Chinese Medicine with modern chiropractic practice, using manual muscle monitoring as the evaluation technique.
Dr. Thie realised that a great many of the techniques could be safely used by everyone to improve posture, increase well-being and reduce physical and mental discomfort. He set about organising these techniques into a series of protocols which became the Touch for Health Synthesis, now taught in over 50 countries around the globe.
Level 1 is the first of 5 levels of training, but can be taken by itself - it is up to you whether you wish to continue with further training, either with Anne or another tutor. You will be covering the same syllabus as taught by other Instructors, so it is transferable.
No previous experience is required for this course - just an open mind and a willingness to learn.
