
This 3-day Introduction to Therapeutic Massage is to a standard at which one can confidently help family and friends.
It is acceptable as the pre-requisite for joining our Aromatherapy Diploma Course. It enables Students to develop a range of skills in Therapeutic Massage and helps develop an awareness of issues of health and disease (physical and mental), in relation to the application of Therapeutic Massage.
Topics include:
* Classical movements used in massage
* Full-body Massage sequence
* Passive stretching
* Therapeutic touch
* The physiological effects of massage on the tissues and systems of the body
* Massage: limitations and boundaries
* Lymphatic & Immune System
* The Importance of Touch
* Cautions and Contra-indications
* Carrier-Oils
Studies normally commence at 10.00 a.m. and finish at 5.00 p.m.
