
ASH, SURREY
40 miles South of London on the Surrey/Hampshire/Berkshire border. Easily accessible from Gatwick or Heathrow Airports and the M3. Good railway access - see below.
Directions to: The Ash Centre, Ash Hill Road, Ash, Surrey, GU12 5DP.
From the M3, exit at Junction 4 onto the A331 towards Aldershot. Leave the A331 where it is signposted A323 and follow the signs to Ash. *At the next small roundabout ('Greyhound' public-house on corner), take the first exit onto the B3206 - signposted to Ash Vale. Proceed for 1.2 miles, passing under an arched bridge, and, at the next small roundabout, take the third exit (right) into Ash Hill Road. Go past the 'Standard of England' public-house and car-park and into the next car-park, which is in front of a new brick building - 'The Ash Centre'. If the car park is full, continue up Ash Hill Road and at the top of the small hill there is another large car park on the left.
From the A31, exit at the A331 towards Aldershot. Leave the A331 where it is signposted A323 to Ash (up slip road and around large roundabout). Then follow directions from * above.
Our courses are usually held in the Meeting Rooms. There is an overflow car-park a little further up Ash Hill Road.
Rail Stations:
Ash: from Aldershot, Guildford, Reading and Tonbridge - 0.8 miles from venue.
Ash Vale: from Alton/London Waterloo line, via Ascot - 1.2 miles from venue.
North Camp: from Reading/Guildford/Gatwick Airport - 1.4 miles from venue.
Farnborough: from London Waterloo via Woking (Woking-Heathrow Airport Rail-Air link) - 2.5 miles from venue.
If travelling by train, it is often possible to arrange lifts with other Students, or the Tutor, to the station - after the first morning. There is only one Bed & Breakfast accommodation within walking distance of the venue and, if you require transport from your accommodation to the venue and back, please let us know.
BARROW-IN-FURNESS, CUMBRIA
Barrow-in-Furness is an old ship-building town located in the Furness Peninsula of the English Lake District. To the north of the peninsula are the Furness Fells, the Cumbrian mountains and lakes Coniston and Windermere.
Barrow-in-Furness can be reached by rail (there are frequent trains from Manchester International airport, change at Lancaster if coming from the South or from Scotland) and by road, leaving the M6 at junction 36 and following the A590 to Barrow-in-Furness.
