Alison Perrott
Principal of The S.E.E.D Institute, Therapeutic Division, Alison's duties include formulating and presenting Diploma & Post Graduate Courses
Born in 1951, Alison has had extensive training in Business Management throughout her working life culminating, in 1987, in the position of Business Manager with a tropical plant company.
After her young daughter died in 1989, she had an urgent need to know about life and death, including the functioning of the physical body - how it works and the signs of ill health. Her search, summed up by G. I. Gurdjieff's question: "What is the sense and significance of life in general, and particularly, the aim and purpose of the life of man", led her on an intensive search for truth - a voyage of discovery.
Following this impetus, she became an Aromatherapist in 1989, gained a City & Guilds Teaching Certificate in Further Education in 1991, became an Accredited Aromatherapy Tutor in 1992 and, shortly after, gained an Aromatherapy Clinical Practitioners' Diploma. Alison has extensive teaching and therapy experience in many branches of Aromatherapy and Remedial Massage.
In her need to know and understand even more about the the human body, she also investigated other areas of expertise - namely:
1989 - Electro-Crystal Therapy Training
1991 - Systematic Kinesiology Certificate and Balanced Health Instructors' Certificate
1993 - Reiki Training
1996 - Bowen Therapy Certificate.
In 1997, she was diagnosed as having a malignant melanoma. Given a 40% chance of surviving 5 years, she decided to plumb the depths of her resources and gather what she perceived to be the best of both allopathic and complementary medicine and use them to her own advantage. So far, she is still very much alive and a great deal wiser about the human body and psyche.
