Massage Training Qualification Course (MTQ)
Are you looking for a core massage qualification course from which you can begin your massage therapy career? Are you interested in the holistic healthcare approach to caring for your clients or have you already trained in other forms of therapy and now want to add body massage and foot reflexes to your toolkit? If any of these questions apply to you then this 7 day massage qualification course is for you.
Whether you are a complete beginner or already an established therapist who now wants to add massage to your therapy skills, this course will enable the completing student to offer several professional treatments with confidence; face massage, body massage and foot reflex treatments. This course is taught at two locations; Surrey and Dorset.
The minimum age for students is 18 years. There is no maximum age. Applicants will be selected on merit, with emphasis on caring disposition, general aptitude and maturity.
It is a requirement that Students are covered for any claims made personally against them. Students can take advantage of the student premium with Balens Insurance, which was arranged specifically for this purpose.
Students are required to show an accepted qualification in Anatomy & Physiology (e.g. ITEC or VTCT) before sitting the examinations. Students must also show a current First Aid Certificate before their Massage Qualifiaction can be issued. Students can obtain these qualifications elsewhere but may also obtain them from The S.E.E.D. Institute:
- Anatomy & Physiology Distance-Learning + Examination (AP2)
- First Aid for Complementary Therapists (FIR1)

Studies commence at 9.30 a.m. and finish at 5.00 p.m.

A Massage Log and Case-studies will be required prior to taking the Massage Examination.
Practical examinations will be individually arranged and will take place in Fleet, Hampshire (5 miles from the Surrey venue), or alternatively in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.
